Improving education and skills
6 out of 10 of pupils now leave local schools with 5 A*-C grades at GCSE, compared to only 4 out of 10 under the last Tory government.
Thanks to Labour, investment in IT in Berwick schools is £5m every year – 10 times higher than it was under the Tories.
Our local schools are now served by 240 hard-working classroom assistants, up from just 60 in 1997.
